The immortal Benny Leonard, former lightweight Champion retired, after being defeated by Jimmy McLarnin via a TKO in the 6th round. The fight took place at Madison Square Garden in New York. The Referee was Arthur Donovan, who stopped the action at two minutes and 55 seconds. It was the last fight of the fisticuff genius, who’s considered by many as the best lightweight in history.
