On This Day: Tommy Burns Defended His World Title Against Jack Palmer
February 10th, 1908
Canadian legend Tommy Burns, who’s the shortest heavyweight Champion in history, defended his title defeating Britain’s Jack Palmer with a fourth round KO. The bout took place in London. Burns’ real name was Noah Brusso. He was nicknamed “The little giant of Hannover.” The Referee Bob Watson.
