Tracy Harris Patterson, the adopted son of the former heavyweight Champion Floyd Patterson, conquered the super bantamweight title with a second round TKO over France’s Thierry Jacob. The fight took place at the Knickerbocker Arena in Albany. It ended with the swift intervention of Referee Arthur Mercante. The Judges were Tamotsu Tomihara, Ray Solis and Newton Campos.
