Q & A face-off: Suazo vs. Ward / Part 1: Rance Ward
Sixto Suazo vs. Rance Ward
Marriott Century Center in Atlanta, USA – 19 December 2021
Only days away from their intriguing clash for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) International Middleweight title on December 19 at the Marriott Century Center in Atlanta, we asked the same five questions to Sixto Suazo and Rance Ward.
This is part 1 of Q & A Face-Off: Suazo vs. Ward.
Q: Tell me about how you started boxing, and what kind of amateur career you had?
A: I started boxing by street-fighting. So I went to a guy who became my coach at the time, and we started off in the back-yard. We just took off from there.
My amateur career was not big. I switched to MMA and became a champion at that, and the number-one fighter in the state of Louisiana.
Q:: Which boxer would you compare you style to?
A: Some would say Roy Jones Jr, nut I have my own style. I like mixing it up.
Q: Who, if anyone, has been an inspiration to you in your boxing career?
A: My mom. She is still working, so every time I step into the gym a light switch comes on.
Q: Random and unprofessional question: Cheeseburger with peanut-butter, or pizza with peanut-butter?
A: I will probably choose cheeseburger with peanut-butter. Shit probably good…
Q: If victorious on December 19, what do you hope to do next in your career?
A: Win more belts and continue to be a champion!
