Summer Lynn faces Brenda Gonzales for UBO title in Iowa on August 14
Summer Lynn vs. Brenda Gonzales
River Center in Davenport, Iowa, USA – 14/8/21
20-year-old undefeated Chicago native Summer Lynn will face Brenda “Boom Boom” Gonzales for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Female World Welterweight title on August 14.
The fight will headline a card promoted by Alien Boi Boxing and Calkins Sports Productions at the River Center in Davenport, Iowa.
Trained and managed by the respected Rick Ramos, Lynn (5-0, 3 KOs) fights out of the same camp as unified (WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF, IBO) World Champion Jessica McCaskill.
A two-time junior national amateur champion, Lynn will be jumping in at the deep end on August 14, but she is clearly surrounded by people who knows what it takes to reach the top.
For Brenda Gonzalez (4-2, 1 KO) it will also be her first shot at a world title. One of her defeats came by decision to the aforementioned McCaskill, so she has proven she can compete at a high level.
Lynn has not had a chance to prove herself in the same way yet, but Gonzalez will undoubtedly provide her the opportunity to do so.
Its sink or swim-time for the young up-and-comer!
