Zaur Abdullaev vs. Dejan Zlaticanin

Russian Zaur Abdullaev will face the former world champion from Montenegro, Dejan Zlaticanin, on September 11 at the RCC Boxing Academy in Ekaterinburg, Russia, for the Lightweight Silver title of the World Boxing Council.

Abdullaev (13-1-0, 8 Ko`s) is one of the brightest rising stars in his country. The only loss in his career is against reigning champion Devin Haney. In his most recent bout in March, he defeated Armenian Zhora Hamazaryan by wide decision.

Zlaticanin (24-2-0, 16 Ko’s), has extensive experience in boxing, as he was already a WBC world champion in the lightweight division. Even though he hasn’t fought since 2019, he has remained active and training for an opportunity just like this.

Today in the city of Ekaterinburg, which has already become a capital of professional boxing, the protagonists of the card passed the official weigh-in. Zaur Abdullaev posted 134.8 pounds while Zlaticanin stopped the scale at 134.5 pounds.

On the undercard, Tatyana Zrazhevskaya will defend her interim WBC bantamweight title. She registered 123.8 pounds, while her opponent from Mexico, Jessica González, was 124.4 pounds.

In another important encounter, Muhammadkhuja Yaqubov will defend his WBC international super featherweight title for the fifth time. Yaqubov weighed 129.8 pounds. His opponent, Christian Palma, originally from Chile, was 128.7-pounds.

In combat for the WBC International cruiser title, Evgeny Tishchenko and Dmitry Kudryashov. They easily met the scale at 199.8 pounds.
