In Veracruz, Mexico, Salvador Sanchez (real name Salvador Sanchez Narvaez) made his professional debut, defeating Al Gardeno by KO in the third round. Five years later, Salvador became WBC featherweight Champion and went on to become one of the greatest fighters in the history of Mexican boxing.
