Adrián Curiel vs. Cristian González in Mexico City This Friday
Adrián “Gato” Curiel will defend his Latino flyweight title of the World Boxing Council against Cristian “Chicharito” González, this Friday, March 26, at the FIT Center, in Mexico City, starring in the second card presented by Ricardo Maldonado’s Sports Productions this year.
Curiel Domínguez (17-3 and 5 KOs) aged only 22 years, was the winner of the last card with an audience that Producciones Deportivas presented on March 13 in Mexico City, and on that occasion defeated Hugo “Executioner” Guarneros.
González Hernández (13-1 and 5 KOs), 21, has reached this stage with a streak of 5 consecutive victories.
This will be the first time that both collide within the professional field, since as amateur fighters they fought on two occasions, with the balance of a victory in favor of González and a draw. In addition to being a sporting rivalry with a lot of history, for both gyms are located in the municipality of Tultitlán, Estado de Mexico, just 5 blocks apart.
Due to the current sanitary alerts in Mexico, the card will be held under strict protocols.
The show will begin at 9:00 p.m. and the fight will be broadcast on the TVC Deportes signal on Megacable and Totalplay, on FITE.TV via internet, as well as on the DIRECTV system for South America.
