South African Dingaan Thobela, defeated Britain’s Glenn Catley in a last gasp TKO in the twelfth and final round, conquering the WBC super middleweight championship. The fight took place at Carnival City, Brakpan, South Africa. It ended at two minutes and 53 seconds of that concluding round. The Referee was Eddie Cotton. While the Judges were Eddie Pappoe, Sid Rubinstein and Alfredo Asaro.
