Attractive Undercard For Miguel “Alacrán” Berchelt vs. Oscar Valdez
The long-awaited fight between WBC super featherweight champion Miguel “Alacrán” Berchelt and the former undefeated world champion, Oscar Valdez, is Saturday night at the MGM Grand Bubble in Las Vegas, Nevada.
A strong undercard, led by the fight between Gabriel Flores Jr. vs. Jayson Velez. Also Esquiva Falcao, Dominican Elvis Rodríguez and Puerto Rican Xander Zayas, plus Sonny Conto, Omar Rosario, Bryan Lúa and Javier Martínez.
Flores, 20 (19-0, 6 KOs) is coming off defeating Ryan Kielczewski in his most recent bout, last October in Las Vegas. Velez (29-7-1, 21 KOs), of Juncos, Puerto Rico, is returning after a loss to Valdez last July.
Falcao (27-0, 19 Ko’s), Silver medalist at the London 2012 Olympics, will face Russian Artur Akavov (20-3, 9 Ko’s) in a middleweight bout.
‘Dominican Kid’ Rodríguez (10-0-1, 10 KO’s), will clash with Argentine Luis Alberto Verón (18-2-2, 9 K’s) in the superlight division.
Puerto Rican Xander Zayas (6-0, 5 Ko’s) will face American James Martin (6-1) in a six-round welterweight bout.
Falcao (27-0, 19 Ko’s), medallista de Plata en los Juegos Olímpicos de Londres 2012, enfrentará al ruso Artur Akavov (20-3, 9 Ko’s) en un combate programado en peso medio.
