Attention! Ring City Presents Franklin vs. Shaw at West Point
Heavyweights Jermaine Franklin (20-0, 13 KOs) and Stephan Shaw (14-0, 10 KOs) will clash in the Ring City USA main event, on Thursday, April 22, at the Military Academy of United States, at West Point, New York.
Jermaine Franklin and Stephan Shaw will fight in a 10-round bout, in which one of the two American boxers will lose his undefeated rank.
Jermaine Franklin, 27, of Saginaw, Michigan, returns to the ring after an 18-month hiatus. At a robust 6-foot-2-inches tall, Franklin will be the first undefeated fighter faced by Stephan Shaw, 28, and 6-foot-4.
Born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri, ten of Shaw’s opponents have failed to make it past the fourth round.
Ring City USA seeks to pay tribute to West Point and its rich history, which is evidenced in 10 National Boxing Championships. So its cadets will be part of the preliminary card.
The fight, which is promoted by Ring City, will be televised on NBC.
