10 Years Today, February 3, 2022, is the ten year anniversary of Cuban star Rances Barthelemy defending the UBO International Lightweight title with a unanimous decision over undefeated challenger Hylon Williams Jr. (15-0). Televised live on ESPN, the fight was part of a big show at Texas Station Casino in Las Vegas.
“Kid Blast” Barthelemy, who had won the UBO title four months earlier went on to win IBF World Championships at Super Featherweight and Lightweight, and is now, 36 years old and with a record of 29-1-1 (15), on the hunt for a world title at Super Lightweight.
