A group of four Latin American women will make history this weekend on ESPN KNOCKOUT, involving Mexicans Ivette Hernández and Mariale Espinoza, as well as the Uruguayan Chris Namús and Cecilia Comunales, involved with a double boxing broadcast that ESPN will offer for all Latin America.

The action will start with the men on Friday afternoon in a clash between Michael Conlan and TJ Doheny from Belfast, while on Saturday night, the bout between Venezuelan Gabriel Maestre and American Mykal Fox from Minnesota.

Ivette will be in charge of the narration of the events and Mariale, Chris and Cecilia, all of them boxers, will be in charge of the analysis.

“Being part of the incredible ESPN KNOCKOUT team is a dream come true. Many times, I thought that the best thing that could happen to me in life would be to work at ESPN, but the fact of joining the first team of boxing narrators, commentators and analysts, made up 100% of women, is something that my mind could never have imagined” Ivette expressed.

“The happiness I feel to be part of the ESPN KNOCKOUT team is amazing, something really incredible that comes to me at a time when I was missing boxing and competition so much. This will give me the motivation I need to get back in the ring, but from another side, with my voice, with my eyes. To be able to transmit to everyone will be an experience that I will enjoy very much, ”stated ‘ La Reina ’Comunales.

Mariale Espinoza, a professional boxer and also a screenwriter and producer, said she was looking forward for this challenge. “The opportunity to be a commentator for ESPN KNOCKOUT is amazin. I am very grateful with ESPN but especially to boxing. This sport has given me a lot, it has been a foundation to get out of a very strong depression, it taught of myself that I ignored and made me redefine limits. Living the stories of boxers so closely only fuels the passion I feel for this sport. I will be eternally grateful, ”.

Former champion Namús (25-6, 8 Ko’s) stressed: “I am aware that it is a challenge that requires seriousness, responsibility and commitment, and I am willing to do all that and much more. To all this, we add the particularity of going through this adventure with women that I admire and respect. This will undoubtedly be one of the most important chapters of my life, “
