Azumah Nelson vs. Juvenal Ordenes

September 6, 1985

Azumah Nelson, from Ghana, better known as the “Professor,” retained the WBC featherweight crown, defeating challenger Juvenal Ordenes, from Chile by TKO,  at 2 minutes 45 seconds of the fifth round. The bout was at the Tamiami Fairgrounds Auditorium in Miami, Florida. The Referee was Steve Crosson, while the  judges were Dick Cole, Arlen Bynum and Ismael Quinones.
