With a warm welcome, the World Boxing Association bantamweight champion, Shannon “The Baby Face Assassin” Courtenay, stepped on the lawn of the crowded Vicarage Road stadium in England where the fourth round of the English Premier Soccer League.
Courtenay, with her black and gold sash over her shoulder, was a spectator of choice for the home team Watford FC on Saturday afternoon.
Courtenay recently received a Watford FC T-shirt with her name on the back as a gift. When she took the microphone in front of the crowd that was waiting for her in the bleachers, she expressed her desire to defend the belt she won against Ebanie Bridges on April 10 in a fight that has been nominated for one of the women’s fights of the year.
On the other hand, “The Baby Face Assassin”, is preparing for the next commitment to be held at the Echo Arena in Liverpool, Merseyside, United Kingdom, on October 9, where she will make the first defense of the WBA bantamweight belt against American Jamie Mitchell, who has an important amateur past and a professional record of 6 wins with 4 knockouts and only 2 draws.
