Mexican southpaw, José Luis Ramirez, defended his WBC lightweight championship after defeating southpaw from Uganda, Cornelius Boza Edwards, in 5 rounds. The fight took place at the Zenith Palais in Paris, France. All ended at minute one with 45 seconds of the mentioned round, when Referee Arthur Mercante, stopped the fight. The Judges were Miguel Donate, Carol Castellano and Guiseppe Ferrari.
