Mace Ruegg picked up yet another impressive victory as he defeated Dionis Martinez in Spain on Saturday night.

The two men were going head to head on a show taking place in Malaga, with Ruegg (5-0) securing the fifth win of his professional career.

It was a dominant performance from the Bournemouth boxer, and it looked like he may have got the stoppage when he dropped his opponent in the fifth round.

Martinez was able to get up to his feet and see out the remainder of the fight though, with Ruegg going on to claim a dominant points win.

It means that the 21-year-old has now won all five of his fights during his career so far, going alongside his wins over Levi Dunn, Sandro Hernandez, Michael Isaac Carrero and Michael Horabin earlier in his career.

Mace Ruegg was in fantastic shape on the scales as he weighed in ahead of his return to the ring tomorrow night.

The Bournemouth boxer is part of a stacked show taking place in Malaga, Spain, going up against experienced Dionis Martinez.

Undefeated Ruegg (4-0) tipped the scales at a ripped and ready 61kg (134.4lbs), as the 21-year-old looks to extend his perfect record to 5-0.

It’s been a stellar start to the paid ranks for Ruegg since making his professional debut in February 2020, with his most recent win coming in March when he defeated Levi Dunn on points.

Tomorrow’s opponent Martinez (9-20-3, 4 KOs) will provide another tough test, having competed around the world during his career, and challenging for the WBC Fecarbox title back in 2016.
