Two WBC Asia title fights will headline an action-packed line-up in a D4G Promotions promotion called ‘Rising Stars’ at the Conrad Hotel in Dubai tomorrow Friday.

Several talented fighters based in Dubai are in action on the card, which will air live in the US on ESPN + in association with Top Rank, on ESPN Knockout in Latin America and around the world on IFL TV.

A cruiserweight battle between Ali Baloyev and Rolly Lambert Fogoum was supposed to headline the event, but a medical problem forced the bout to be cancelled.

The undercard will continue with two WBC Asia title fights. Dubai-based Hasibullah Ahmadi (12-0, 4 KOs) tops the bill, as he faces Rauf Aghayev (31-9, 14 KOs) for the WBC Asia featherweight title, and Apichet Petchmanee. (9-0, 2 KOs) and Phumiritdet Chonlathondamrongkun (7-0, 7 KOs) will clash for the WBC Asia lightweight title.

Two WBC Asia title fights will top an action-packed bill when D4G Promotions host their incredible ‘Rising Stars’ event at the Conrad Hotel in Dubai on Friday.

It sees a number of extremely talented Dubai-based fighters compete on the card, which will be broadcast live in the US on ESPN+ in association with Top Rank, on ESPN Knockout in Latin America, and worldwide on IFL TV, whilst also being live on the radio on Channel 4, 104.8.

Luxury watchmaker ‘Hublot’ will be the proud title sponsor for the event, and having one of the biggest brands in the world supporting boxing is once again helping to bring big fights to Dubai.

The card proceeds with two sensational title fights, as Dubai-based Hasibullah Ahmadi (12-0, 4 KOs) headlines the show when he collides with Rauf Aghayev (31-9, 14 KOs) for the WBC Asian featherweight title, and Apichet Petchmanee (9-0, 2 KOs) and Phumiritdet Chonlathondamrongkun (7-0, 7 KOs) meet for the WBC Asia lightweight title.

Several proud Dubai residents will compete on the bill too, as Faizan Anwar (7-0, 4 KOs) goes up against Ricky Sismundo (35-15-3, 17 KOs), Bader Samreen (2-0, 2 KOs) takes on Sharobiddin Jurakhonov (2-3-1, 2 KOs), and Sultan Al Nuaimi (3-0, 2 KOs) shares the ring with Mishiko Shubitdze (17-18-3, 8 KOs).

On the undercard, Jamie King (1-0, 1 KO) fights Taryel Jafarov (7-2, 6 KOs), Ryan Aston (20-5-2, 8 KOs) squares off with Shalva Guchmazovi (3-6-2, 2 KOs), Khurshid Tojibayev (4-0, 2 KOs) faces Achiko Odizadze (22-17-1, 8 KOs), and Fahad Al Bloushi (4-1, 1 KO) meets Medi Miro (0-1).

Despite Covid restrictions continuing to make everything difficult for promoters and boxers, the sport continues all over the world as people with will almost always finds a way.

Less than two months after winning the Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Inter-Continental title in Kiev, Ukraine, Turkey´s Serdar Avci won the Interim UBO World Heavyweight title on Wednesday, July 14.

In front of a sparse crowd on home-turf in Istanbul, the hard-punching Avci wasted little time stopping Taryel Jafarov from Azerbaijan in the very first round.

A knockout was expected in this fight, as neither man is used to going the distance, Avci bringing a 100 percent knockout ratio and Jafarov having scored all but one of his victories by stoppage.

With top notch preparations at the famous 5th Street Gym in Miami, Avci looked determined and sharp, overwhelming Jafarov from the first bell and never allowing the man from Baku to get started.

A late starter to the pro game, 36-year-old Avci took his unblemished record to 11-0 (11), while Jafarov falls to 7-3 (6).

The fight headlined a show promoted by Serdar Avci Promotions.

Current Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Inter-Continental Heavyweight Champion Serdar Avci (10-0, 10 KOs) is set to make a quick return to the ring.

The older brother of UBO Inter-Continental Super Welterweight titlist Arda Avci, Serdar won his UBO title last May, stopping undefeated Georgian Zaal Kvezereli in two rounds in Kiev, Ukraine.

But now he returns to his home-town of Istanbul, Turkey on July 14, and is in deep training at the famous 5th Street Gym in Miami, Florida.

In a time where it is more difficult than ever to secure opponents, the 35-year-old former amateur-standout will face Taryel Jafarov from Azerbaijan for the Interim UBO World Heavyweight title.

While his record may be modest, Jafarov (7-2, 6 KOs) was also an accomplished amateur and his two defeats in the paid ranks came to world class cruiserweight contender Olanrewaju Durodola and undefeated Russian Vladimir Ivanov.

The fight will headline a card promoted by Serdar Avci Promotions, and will feature local up-and-coming talent on a stacked undercard.
