Dina Thorslund reacts after becoming two-weight world champion

Dina Thorslund has thanked her army of fans for their countless support after she made history by becoming a two-weight world champion on Friday.
Thorslund (16-0, 6 KOs) defeated Jasseth Noriega by unanimous decision at the Stuer Arena in Denmark to add the WBO bantamweight title to her WBO super-bantamweight crown.
It has seen Thorslund establish herself as one of the best female fighters in the world, and she was extremely grateful for all of the well wishes she has received following the fight.
Thorslund said: “What a night. The feelings have been great and so has the fatigue afterwards! But I would like to say thank you to everybody for the support. I am grateful, and I appreciate everyone who backed me beforehand and has congratulated me afterwards.
“I am deeply touched by it all and it has been nothing short of amazing, both the days up to the fight and now the days afterwards. Denmark then beat Wales 4-0 in the European Championships, so the dream is still alive there too!
“I have so many thanks, from my therapists, coaches, sponsors, friends, family and everybody. I hope everyone knows how grateful I am and that everyone has a part of my victory from Friday. I love you all and I hope we can do it together again soon.”
