“The Big Belt Championship” at the Mesquite Rodeo on October 1
The poster that makes up the second date of the tournament “The Big Belt Championship” was presented to the media, introduced by the promoter The Boxing Showcase with the endorsement of the World Boxing Council.

In what will be the program’s main contest, in an out-of-tournament combat, scheduled to 6 rounds at 160 pounds, American Mark “Güero” Vázquez will clash against Mexican Ulises “Xochimilca” Jiménez.
Mark commented: “I feel great. We have been working for a long time and we are learning many things in the gym. These last days we will make the final adjustments and make sure we are ready. I have seen videos of my rival and I know that the jab will help me a lot for landing my combinations.”
In a 4-round fight within the tournament in the 147-pound division, Jake “Snake” Ysasi will be facing Jokorean Swanson, and he said: “I feel very good and ready for combat, the only thing that missing is to lose a few pounds, but my preparation was very strong with great sparring in the gym.”
In another interesting duel within the tournament, at 118 pounds division, Fernando “Kid” Vazquez will make his debut as pro: “I feel very good mentally and physically. It’s been the same routine since I started boxing by running 8 miles in the morning, mid-day fitness and boxing in the afternoon. Most of my sparring was with professional boxers.”

Sheduled for 4 rounds, Texan Dominique “Dynamite” Griffin (4-0-1, 2 KO) will fight with Mexican Moisés Sixto Gómez (2-0-1, 2 KO) at 118 pounds; Keven “Baby Boy” Soto (1-0) versus Orlando Collins (0-4) at 140 pounds; Refugio “Cuco” Montellano (2-0, 1 KO) against Casey Dinard Foster (Pro-debut); Joshua Bryan Reyes (1-0) vs. Juan Tadeo Garcia (Pro-debut) at 126 pounds.
In out-of-tournament bouts we will have the debut of Honduran prospect Merin “Catracho de Oro” Salazar, who will be facing his compatriot Jorge Luis Munguía at 160 pounds.
While, at 135 pounds at 4 laps, Texans Omar Urieta (0-1) and Czyz Harrison (0-1) will be in action.
