Travis Hanshaw defends WBF World title against Anthony Young July 31
Travis Hanshaw vs. Anthony Young
Boyd County Community Center, Kentucky, USA 31/7/21
Travis “Rattlesnake” Hanshaw, 17-1-1 (8), the World Boxing Federation (WBF) World Super Middleweight Champion, has patiently been waiting to make his first defense of the title he won over two years ago.
The 29-year-old from Ashland, Kentucky, has fought twice since becoming world champion, both times winning low-profile stay-busy fights, but due to the pandemic it has not been possible to arrange a title-defense until now.
On July 31 at the Boyd County Community Center in his home-town, Hanshaw will take on Atlantic City´s Anthony “Juice” Young, a former WBC regional titlist who is coming off a victory over former WBO World Champion Sadam Ali.
Young, 21-2 (8), is moving up in weight and has also suffered from inactivity, but he is riding a ten-fight winning-streak and full of belief that he can shock the Hanshaw fans and take home the WBF world title.
The Hanshaw vs. Young WBF World Super Middleweight title fight will headline a card promoted by East Coast Promotions.
