Tursynbay Kulakhmet Knocked Out Heber Rondón in Dubai
This Saturday, in one of the undercard matches that Jamel Herring and Carl Frampton starred in in the United Arab Emirates, the Kazakh Tursynbay Kulakhmet gave the Venezuelan Heber Rondón the first defeat of his career.
The Venezuelan had arrived at Caesars Palace Dubai with an undefeated record of 20 fights, without draws, all of them made in his country. For his part, the Kazakh, who has extensive experience as an amateur, had only presented two fights as a professional until then.
Shortly after starting the first round, Kulakhmet made Rondón feel all the power of his fists, with a combination that made him fall back against the ropes and then send him to the canvas.
Heber got to his feet, but would only hold out for a few more seconds before receiving a horrifying knockout.
With this triumph, Tursynbay won the international super welterweight title from the World Boxing Council.
