Two days, four continents, five UBO title fights
Between Saturday October 16 and Sunday October 17, four of the worlds continents, Europe, Africa, North America and Asia, will host five, at least on paper, very competitive Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) title fights.
Saturday will kick off with UBO International Super Middleweight Champion Arpad Klasz (11-0, 10 KOs) taking on former WBA world title-challenger Siarhei Khamitski from Belarus for the Interim UBO World Super Middleweight title in Budapest, Hungary.
Nicknamed “The Ghost”, Khamitski (32-21-3, 14 KOs) has won WBC, WBO and IBF regional titles, and defeated some very credible names. Most of his losses have come against top opponents, and he will undoubtedly feel confident about his chances against the much less experienced Klasz.
Around the same time in Accra, Ghana, Robert Quaye (19-0, 16 KOs) squares off with compatriot Nathanael Nukpe (13-7-1, 13 KOs) for the vacant UBO International Super Lightweight title.
On the same card, in another clash of Ghanaians, Holy Dorgbetor (7-0, 5 KOs) faces Success Tetteh (10-2, 8 KOs) with the vacant UBO Inter-Continental Featherweight title at stake.
Finally, Saturday´s UBO action will conclude with World Lightweight Champion Noel Echevarria (19-7, 12 KOs) defending his title for the first time against the very tough Jerome Conquest (11-5, 1 KO) in Gadsden, Alabama, USA.
On Sunday, in Abbottabad, Pakistan, undefeated fellow countrymen Muzafar Khan (9-0, 8 KOs) and Haidar Ali (3-0, 2 KOs) will duke it out for the vacant UBO Asia-Pacific Super Welterweight title, in a highly anticipated local rivalry.
