WBC World Champion Ibeth Zamora Set on Fighting the Best

Reigning WBC flyweight world champion Ibeth Zamora was one of the special guests on today´s “Coffee Tuesday” to talk about her upcoming crown defense against dangerous American Marlen Esparza in April.

For Ibeth this is a fight that she has wanted for a long time, as she is determined to take on the best fighters in the division and leave a legacy in women’s boxing. She says that Marlen is a very skilful boxer. However ‘Roca” is convinced that her preparation and exceptional experience will pave the way to victory.

Golden Boy is arranging for this fight to take place in the United States, giving the small weights a highlight opportunity, so this represents a special sparkle of commitment for Ibeth.

Happy to be able to return to the ring together with her promoter MTK, Marlen is the immediate commitment, but during this year,  Ibeth will look for a new challenge, by climbing  a division in order to challenge for the WBC super flyweight belt, which is now in hands of Lourdes Juarez.
