Covid restrictions and inactivity had little effect on Germany’s Elina Tissen, when she won the vacant World Boxing Federation (WBF) Women’s World Featherweight title on May 8.
In Warendorf, “Elin The Machine” scored a land-slide unanimous decision (100-90, 100-90, 99-91) over Kenyan Everline Odero, making her the WBF Boxer of the Month for May 2021.
A three-division world champion, the Russian-born 34-year-old improved her record to 24-2 (6).
