Whyte signs for Fury bout just hours before deadline – Wembley April 23?

Just hours before the deadline, Dillian Whyte has finally signed the contract to fight Tyson Fury for the WBC heavyweight championship of the world.

The deadline was 6am GMT, with both camps negotiating until the last minute.

The fight is expected to take place at Wembley on April 23, though the Cardiff Principality Stadium is still an option for the rumoured date. NOTHING is official yet for both date and venue.

“Oh my God!,” said Fury in a statement. “Dillian Whyte has signed his contract for $8 million, what a surprise. What an absolute idiot. Should this even be a talking point? The man has signed for the biggest payday ever in his life.

He added, “Oh my God! My head hurts from all the mind games that Dillian Whyte’s been playing on me. Oh my God! I’m so sore. I don’t know whether I’m coming or going. My training camp’s a mess.”

“I’m going to bust Dillian Whyte like a water balloon,” Fury summarised.

Tyson Fury (31-0-1,22 KOs) comes from defending his crown on October 9, by defeating former world champion Deontay Wilder in a great fight.

Dillian Whyte (28-2-0, 19 KOs) will come to this fight after defeating Russian Alexander Povetkin via a rematch in March of last year.

The WBC implemented an innovation some years ago, by having 10% of the amount as a bonus to the winner of the fight, thus giving great additional incentive interest. In this case, the winner will receive a bonus of US$ 4,102,500.00!
