Wild Chantelle Cameron Vows Victory Will Be No Accident!
CHANTELLE CAMERON vs. MELISSA HERNANDEZ
Michelob ULTRA Arena in Mandalay Bay 29/5/21
Chantelle Cameron plans to shine in Las Vegas and defeat challenger Melissa Hernandez when she defends her World Boxing Council super lightweight title, on Saturday, May 29 at the Michelob ULTRA Arena in Mandalay Bay, on a card that will be broadcast live throughout the world by DAZN.
Cameron (13-0 7 KOs) will make the first defense of the title that she won in October in a clash that was due to take place in March, but the Brit suffered an injury stemming from a car accident and the fight had to be postponed. She comments that Hernández (23-7-2 7 KOs) doubted that the injury was legitimate, which annoyed the champion. So, she is more eager to step into the ring and showcase her skills.
“She’s been talkative. It’s something that bothers me. She said I withdrew from the March fight because I wasn’t well prepared and the injury was a lie. Who’s lying about having a car accident?” commented Chantelle.
“That has turned me on a bit and I am happy, because she has given me extra hunger. I will make her eat her words in the ring. She talks trash, I don’t,! I do my thing in the ring. As soon as the bell rings, I’ll go wild.
“It would be lovely to knock her out, but I’m not looking for it, Jamie Moore and Nigel Travis have been amazing with my tactics, so I’m not going to go in there and screw up my plan. The only sure thing is that that belt will come home with me.“
