Yoel Finol Will Go to The Tokyo Olympic Games
The International Olympic Committee granted the quota to the member of the Future WBA Champions, Yoel Finol, for the Olympic Games of Tokyo 2020, according to the leader of Feveboxeo, Luisa Benítez.
The 24-year-old fighter was waiting for the official decision after the suspension of the Pre-Olympic in Argentina due to the pandemic, event where he would seek his quota. This Friday his participation in the 52 kilograms division was officially announced.
Finol was part of the Future WBA Champions camp, which took place in Medellin, Colombia last year and in which more than a dozen countries participated as part of their preparation for the qualifying events for Tokyo.
In addition, Finol has participated in three events of the WBA Challenge, a professional program promoted by the pioneer organization for fighters from different regions.
The WBA is proud to have contributed to the many athletes from various countries who have already registered their names for Tokyo 2020.
