Panamanian greatest and most industrious boxing idol, Roberto “Hands of Stone” Duran defeated Japanese challenger “Guts” Ishimatsu, formerly known as Ishimatsu Suzuki by TKO in the tenth. The fight took place at the New Panama Gymnasium and the Referee was Nicasio L. Drake. Svelte Duran weighed below of the lightweight limit, at a slim 133 and a half pounds.
