In Manchester, England, Richard John Hatton (Ricky), was born. During his blazing pro boxing career. Ricky was super lightweight, welterweight, and super welterweight Champion. He faced a great array of rivals including Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao, Kostya Tszyu, Jose Luis Castillo and Paul Malignaggi. Ricky, who remains a tremendous fan favorite, retired in 2012 with a magnificent record of 45 victories: 32 of them by KO. He was only defeated three times.
