Former Mexican Olympian Juan Pablo ‘Pivi’ Romero conserved his undefeated record by defeating Colombian Deiner ‘Montruo’ Berrio, achieving a successful debut in the United States.
This was part of the card presented by Ring City USA in association with Promociones del Pueblo of Oswaldo Küchle .
It was at the iconic Hayes Gymnasium at the US Military Academy in West Point, New York; military training center of excellence that incorporates boxing as one of the foundations of its education.
The fighter from Villa del Carbón, State of Mexico; was the most effective boxer from the first bell, while Berrio decided to wait for key moments to unleash his powerful combinations, that caused a cut during the second round on the Mexican’s face, which was well controlled by his corner. .
