Japanese idol, Joichiro Tatsuyoshi, defended the WBC bantamweight championship, defeating American Paulie Ayala by technical decision in the 6th round. The fight took place at the Arena Yokohama in Kanaqawa. The Referee was Lupe García. The Judges were Dee Eun Chung, Lou Filippo and Sergio Silai.
