Miguel Vázquez defeats Oliver Flores for WBA-Fedelatin Title in Mexico

Miguel Vazquez won the vacant WBA-Fedelatin Lightweight title over the weekend as he earned an impressive victory against Oliver Flores.

The pair met at the Verite Social Venue on Saturday, which was broadcast live in the US on ESPN+ in association with Top Rank, on Combate Space in Latin America, and worldwide on IFL TV.

It was the latest co-promotion between MTK Global and Miura Boxing, following on from their star-studded show earlier this year.

Former world champion Vazquez (44-10, 17 KOs) was in control throughout the fight with Flores (30-4-2, 19 KOs), leading to the unanimous decision win.

The judges scored the bout 99-91, 96-94 and 98-92, handing Vazquez a dominant victory and seeing him extend his winning streak.

Elsewhere on the card, teenage sensation Jonathan Lopez (5-0, 2 KOs) picked up an eight-round points win over Jorge Amaya, and Neslan Machado (18-0, 8 KOs) secured a solid unanimous decision win over Alan Salazar after eight rounds of action.
