Dmitry Bivol took care of all the doubts and questions about his fight with Gilberto ‘Zurdo’ Ramirez, a fight that on paper was very evenly matched for the WBA Light Heavyweight Super title and reaffirmed himself as one of the best fighters in the world.

Bivol out-sped, outboxed and dominated “Zurdo” in every aspect of the bout to end up winning on the judges’ scorecards with scores of 118-110, 117-111 and 117-111 as evidence of the reigning champion’s dominance.

The 31-year-old fighter made masterful use of his jab and always anticipated with that punch to control the fight and suppress the height advantage the Mexican had over him. His hand speed was key to generate combinations hurt Ramirez and were adding points in favor of Bivol.

The champion limited the challenger to stay away and attack little, a situation that allowed him to be in advantage at all times and gave him the opportunity to throw big power punches that put the big moments in the fight.

“I’m glad to have beaten Zurdo,” Bivol told reporters “44 fights he won before. Now I’m the first to beat him. Three years ago, I first wanted to fight him. This means a lot to me.”

“I did my job, I went to the body,” Ramirez told DAZN’s Chris Mannix. “I thought I did enough to win. The judges, they did their job. Congratulations to (Bivol).”

With the win, Bivol now has 21 wins, 11 by knockout whilst Ramirez lost his first pro fight and leaves a record of 44 wins, 1 loss with 30 knockouts.

Chantelle “Il Capo” Cameron defeated the American Jessica “Caskilla” McCaskill unanimously over ten rounds with a clear technical superiority and succeeded in her fifth defense of the WBC, IBF and The Ring belts. She also added the WBA and WBO belts to become the first undisputed champion in the history of the 140 pounds.

The judges’ scorecards were 97-93 and two by 96-94 in favor of Cameron, who added her 17th win with 8 knockouts, while the Chicago boxer, still an absolute at 147 pounds, returns with a record of 12 wins, 5 by knockout and 3 losses.
