The Big Belt Championship grand final in 2022

Due to the exceptional demand from fans who want to savour the final bouts for the “Big Belt Championship”, the promoter The Boxing Showcase has decided to move the event from December 17th and conduct the finals at the beginning of the coming year, with a great undercard to proclaim the first champions of the tournament of the contest.

On January 29th , the first final of the “Big Belt Championship” will be held at the Southern Junction facilities in Irving, Texas:

Welterweight (147 pounds): Jake Ysasi (Texas) Vs. Sergio Salinas (Mexico)
Super lightweight (140 pounds): Benjamin Gurment (Texas) Vs. Yainiel Álvarez (Cuba)
Lightweight (135 pounds): Omar Urieta (Texas) Vs. Juan Manuel Castañeda (Mexico)
Featherweight (126 pounds): Brandon Despain (Texas) Vs. Joel Martinez (Texas)
Flyweight (112 pounds): Kentavias Slay (Texas) Vs. Jahir Reyna (Mexico)

The undercard will be the following:

6 rounds at 160 pounds: Mark Vázquez (Texas) Vs. Kasimu Yakubu (Ghana)
4 rounds at 140 pounds: Angel Gomez (Texas) Vs. Elgyn “Rippa” Chandler (Texas)
In women’s 4-round bout at 118 pounds: Alexis Mones Vs. Macy Breaux.

A week later, on February 5, in Odessa, Texas, the grand final of the following divisions will take place:

Bantamweight (118 pounds): Conrado Martinez (Odessa) Vs. Dominique Griffin (Texas)
Heavyweight (+200 pounds): Dionardo Minor (Texas) Vs. Edgar Ramírez (Mexico)
Light heavyweight (175 pounds): Nosa Divine (Nigeria)
Middleweight (160 pounds): Davelle Smith (Michigan).

There will also be an interesting support with young talents who will be announced in the coming days.
